The programme dubbed: Digital African Handi- Talents will
have persons with disabilities showcase their musical talents and will serve as
a platform to discover talented persons within the fraternity.
The event which will be a competition between 19 English
speaking countries, so far has 31 Ghanaian persons with disabilities who have
signed up to participate, Mr Alex Kojo Tetteh, Executive Director for Centre
for Employment of Persons with disability told the Special Mothers Project.
Mr Tetteh said the Elite Lions Club of Accra has also
donated 1200 Ghana cedis to support participants who are required to pay about
60 Ghana cedis each as registration fee
He said winners of the competition will receive financial
rewards as well as trophies and their works popularized on the continent.
Persons with all kinds of disability including physical,
sensory and intellectual disabilities living on the African continent are
encouraged to participate
The ceremony is scheduled for the 7th of
September, 2020
